4th grade had a fun day at the Heinz History Center. Student teams completed 4 writing challenges at each of the following exhibits: Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation, Western PA Sports Museum, Sigo Falk Collections Center and Clash of Empires. A special thanks to Dr. Dagen and Mrs. Hardway for taking the time to be our chaperones while I judged one of the stations.

Students worked on a STEM project challenging them to build the longest "Bone Bridge" while adhering to given criteria and constraints. Teams did a great job designing, organizing their data and analyzing what worked well and not so well for this challenge.
A little wet and a little cold, but I think everyone had a fun time today. Be sure to ask your child to see their Mingo Creek Organizer. It includes today's schedule as well as notes from all of the stations. I learned something new today. Hopefully the students did too!
